Etiske retningsliner i Firda
Firda skal drive aktiviteten sin, på alle områder og innan alle kanalar, etter dei prinsipp og ideelle målsetjingar som til ei kvar tid gjer seg gjeldande i dei ulike presseplakatane.

Det betyr at Firda i alle sine kanalar styrer etter Redaktørplakaten
og Ver
Varsamplakaten (herunder Tekstreklameplakaten).
Firda skal vere uredd og sette dagsorden gjennom fremjing av sakleg og fri
informasjons- og opinionsformidling. Det skal kome tydeleg fram kva som er
reportasje, formidling av informasjon og fakta, og kva som er avisa sine
eigne meiningar og vurderingar – og kva som er annonsar.
Den som kjenner seg krenka eller på anna vis urettvist handsama i Firda sine ulike kanalar, skal kunne melde dette så vel inn for sjefredaktør Jan Atle Stang, jan.atle.stang@firda.no, eller til Pressens Faglege Utval (PFU), Postboks 46 Sentrum, 0101 Oslo. Adressa finn ein også på nest siste side i Firda kvar dag.
